East County Pregnancy Care Center Get Involved the Church

Church/Group Volunteer Opportunities

Liaisons

If you would like to get your church involved in supporting Pregnancy Care Clinic, you can become a church liaison. Not wanting to add to the responsibilities of pastors, we recruit volunteer liaisons for each church. Liaisons are the link between the church and Pregnancy Care Clinic. We will send email updates and information to you, and then it will their job to inform the pastor and seek approval to promote the Pregnancy Care Clinic in the local church body.
Please contact Karen Thomann at (619) 442-4357 or email Karen Thomann for more information.

Mission / Outreach

Pregnancy Care Clinic is a front line ministry supported by local churches and donors. We ask that your church add us to your list of missionaries that your congregation supports in prayer, financial giving, and involvement. Our volunteers are trained to present the gospel to the women and men who come to the clinic. Once they have accepted Christ, we begin a discipleship program with them and contact a partner church to hand them off to. It is our goal to see these new Christians firmly planted in their own church home.

Embrace Grace is a program to empower churches across the nation to be a safe and non-judging place for the girls to run to when they find out they are pregnant, instead of the last place they are welcomed because of shame and guilt. Curriculum and resources are available for the church to implement our program and become a Pro-Love church. If the church, the Body of Christ, will join together to support these girls who choose life, young moms will be more open to not aborting their babies. Whether they keep their baby or choose adoption, Embrace grace is a support system for them as they begin their journey of being a young mother or blessing another family with their baby. Emotionally and spiritually healthy mommies parent emotionally and spiritually healthy babies. Through Embrace Grace, lives are saved and generations are being changed. God loves these babies and their mommies, and we do too. It is our goal to have programs available for us to send our women to.

Projects

From time to time, special projects arise that require a group to assist our staff. Once a year, a work day is needed to handle the upkeep of our location such as gardening, painting, carpet cleaning, and deep cleaning of the clinic. If your group is interested in organizing a work team, contact Josh McClure at (619) 442-4357 or email Josh McClure.

Baby Bottle Fundraisers

Hosting a Baby Bottle Fundraiser is easy and fun! You pick the time and place for your event. We will supply the bottles for you to distribute to your group. Once you have collected the bottles, we will count the coins, cash and checks. A letter announcing the total amount raised will be mailed to your group thanking them for their participation. All funds raised through your church or organization will go toward supporting the programs and services offered by Pregnancy Care Clinic. Upon request, a representative from PCC will come to your group to assist with the kick-off of your fundraiser. Call Robin Brust at (619) 442-4357 or email Robin Brust for more information.

Speaking

Our staff is ready and willing to go into the community and speak on behalf of Pregnancy Care Clinic and the work done here. Executive Director, Josh McClure, has stepped into the pulpit of several local churches and brought an inspiring message of life to the congregation. Other staffers are available to speak at Bible Studies and special events. Please contact our office for more information and availability. (619) 442-4357 or Josh McClure.
